3rd Shift Machine Operator

3RD SHIFT 7:00PM - 7:00AM - SOME WEEKENDS REQUIRED

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs:

The person in this position will be responsible for:

• Inspect the coated web for coating and substrate defects.
• Advise the Production Supervisor and appropriate operators (coating/inspection or grainer) of problems.
• Set up and operate the edge trimmer when applicable.
• Operate the slitter when applicable.
• Monitor and adjust the de-curler to produce flat plates.
• Mount ship sheet paper coils.
• Operate the feeder.
• Set the length cut according to job orders.
• Monitor, and control length-and-square to within established specifications.
• Maintain operational paperwork.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the converting area.
• Report on operating conditions and deficiencies of the equipment.
• Assist in other areas of the production process as assigned by the supervisor.
• Works 12 hour shifts with the majority of the shift on their feet
• Rotating weekend work schedule
• At least three years industrial manufacturing experience
